Scores
Most scores in both editions of Shadows Over Sol derive entirely from a character’s stats. The best thing to do when converting from the first edition is to take those stats and use them to calculate the second edition scores.
The exception to this rule is first edition Damage Reduction (DR), which converts to second edition Armor. For literal armor, simply look up the second edition equivalent from the gear list and use its indicated value. For other sources of armor, such as an item’s hardness or creature’s tough hide, use the listed value if it’s five or less. For DR greater than five, multiply by 0.8 and use the total as the second edition Armor score.
