The steady advance of new and more efficient ways to kill fellow human beings has spurred similar advancements in how to prevent those same human beings from becoming meaty red paste.

Repairing Damaged Armor

Remember that a piece of gear’s Armor value decreases every time that damage penetrates it (see page XXX). Armor damaged in this way can be repaired with an hour’s labor per point lost and a successful Trade (Armorer)-12 test. Each point repaired costs a quarter the armor’s listed value in parts. Armor reduced to a value of zero is beyond salvageable and cannot be repaired.

Selling Damaged Armor

If attempting to sell damaged armor, treat it as having a base cost equal to half the listed value. Armor reduced to a value of zero is of little interest to most buyers and worth only 1d10¤.

Light & Utility Armors

The Sol system is a dangerous place, leading to the widespread use of both light and utility armors. Vac suits, in particular, are essential to life in space and are ubiquitous throughout the system. Wearing one of these armors usually won’t raise too many eyebrows.
